About Me
Cincinnati is a long way from Tampa. And Utila, Honduras is even farther. But I managed to venture out from Ohio, the city where I grew up, the places where I spent my summers (and even homeschool days) training and caring for animals, teaching about the environment, and exploring nature. I embarked on a one month sailing and diving expedition in the British Virgin Islands, which opened my eyes to the world. Six months later, I was back in the ocean in Honduras, on my own this time, for advanced dive training and international adventure. And all of these experiences have brought me to the University of Tampa, where I'm connecting with even more people from all over the globe, and seeking out ways I can make a difference.
Interests and Hobbies
When I'm not biking or hiking the local parks, or diving, you'll find me hammocking in a quiet forest enclave. And you might encounter me late at night watching a series on Netflix or Hulu, especially dramas and investigative crime thrillers. When I'm at home, I enjoy the company of my sisters and my dog, and occasional get-togethers with my parents and grandparents. We like to play cards and watch movies together, and sometimes go to the Zoo or on walks at a local park. Cooking is also a favorite past-time. Although I have my tried-and-true favorite recipes, my friends and family keep an open mind when I'm experimenting with a new one. During the winter in Ohio, my sisters and I traditionally get together to bake and decorate Christmas cookies.
